Calling For A New Pope

Pope Benedict XVI renounced his position as Pope. The search for the successor has begun. People have gone to the extreme of forming betting games in order to bet on who will be Pope Benedict’s successor. It has become the main news in almost all news channels. It has occurred to me that there are many issues surrounding us, yet we have the time to stop and focus on the new Pope. With earthquakes and the volcano that has just erupted, we have given importance to something as insignificant as who the next Pope is. America is facing one of the greatest recessions in all time. Many people are unemployed, many have lost their homes and instead of searching for a solution we are searching for the new Pope.  In the end the greatest mafia lives in the Vatican. It is the best scam ever created. With the pretext of faith they prey on the thousands of believers. The Vatican needs several hundred million dollars per year to operate. Catholics pay tithes to their local parishes and donate about $100 million every year to the Vatican itself. The city-state also gets money from books, museums, stamps, and even souvenir shops.  Vatican City also has the highest crime rate in the world, with 1.5 crimes per citizen. This is of course putting aside the Pope himself. We should be focusing on other thieves, like our President for example. After all it does not even matter who is the next Pope, just another theif to come and brainwash us to the point that we hand over our hard earned money.
